First you should install all the dependencies in the Quick Start Guide

Install these packages to make sure that MythTV compiles/Installs from RPMs correctly.
Where it says SUSE Mirrors, you can also use your install CD or install DVD.

Rather than installing these one at a time, would suggest that it is quicker to mark them all as "installation sources" when prompted. Then Install all at once inside YaST, this will be much quicker.

You will want to set up the Network Time Protocol Client so that your system maintains accurate times for your recordings. This will synchronise your system clock with an external time server.

In Yast  Select Network Services->NTP Client
Click "During boot" for Automatically start
Under Address select " Public NTP Server" and choose one in your part of the world.
Now test that it works with the test button, and Finish.
